The Prairie Players’ staging
of this touching and funny work
coincided with the Broadway rivival
of Earnest Thomson’s moving play. The
revival brought a Tony Award nomination for
James Earl Jones in the role of Norman, and our
production brought standing ovations for The Players’
cast.  The beloved film and play explores the pain, joy and
sorrow of growing up, growing old, and growing closer. 

The play’s revival on Broadway illustrates the
staying-power of the work, and underscores
the timeless messages it delivers.
